Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

Hazard Mitigation Grant Program - HMGP - Hazard Mitigation GrantIn an effort to assist Louisiana with our recovery efforts, FEMA has provided the state with funding for home elevation. These funds are being distributed through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) in coalition with the already present Road Home Program. If you participated in Road Home and chose Option One (chose to stay in your pre-Katrina home), you may qualify to receive assistance for elevation through this program.

You could qualify for up to $100,000 through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (State Program). To qualify, you must have applied for Road Home before November 2007.  More info.

We have been working closely with the HMGP program and follow all state guidelines for participation. We also work one-on-one with our clients in order to help you through the application process.

It doesn’t matter where you are in the process, we’re here to help!

Give us a call today so that we may begin assisting you with your application process. If you were not Road Home Option One, we may be able to help you find other home elevation grant options that suit your needs.
